I build production software

Summary

I build and support production software, and have done so since 2017 — across enterprise ERP, retail loyalty, transport logistics and digital signage. My day-to-day toolkit is C#/.NET, Rust, TypeScript, PHP and SQL, with cloud and event-driven systems on top: Azure Blob Storage, NATS JetStream, PostgreSQL and CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Docker.

I am strongest where software meets operations: diagnosing production issues, automating deployments, writing tests and documentation, and turning business requirements into systems that stay maintainable.

Away from the keyboard I’m a dog parent, and Miss Whitesocks even has her own Instagram (linked in Social Me below). I bring the same energy to everything: work hard, stay curious, and keep getting ahead in as many domains as possible.

Software Engineer & Technical Solutions Owner — onQ Digital Group, Melbourne

Sep 2024 – Present

  • Build and run production software for digital signage, audience analytics and data platforms, using LLM tools (Claude, MCP) for AI-assisted development.
  • Maintain a multi-tenant PHP/MySQL CMS with a Deno/TypeScript frontend; ship secure REST APIs and SQL workflows.
  • Develop async Rust services with Tokio and NATS JetStream for media encoding, authentication and data processing.
  • Own testing, CI/CD and deployment across Docker, Incus, Alpine Linux and Caddy.

The page you’re reading is the demo: a static site on a global CDN with managed TLS, a Rust (axum) API in a 9 MB distroless container on Cloud Run, and a Firestore visitor counter through real transactions; that’s the visitor count in the footer.

All infrastructure is Terraform; CI/CD uses Workload Identity Federation — no stored credentials anywhere.
